I don't like biting into caraway seeds, but the person who wrote the recipe (again, my favorite, smitten kitchen) said she didn't like that either. So instead, the recipe called for ground caraway seeds, which I did use (I ground them in my coffee grinder). It took quite a while to prepare, but I had fun! http://smittenkitchen.com/blog/2010/01/new-york-deli-rye-bread/
I do have a loaf pan, but I didn't use it. The recipe called for using my pizza stone (which has now cracked twice, but I used the half of it that remains!).
Do you use caraway seeds in the rye bread?
ReplyDeleteMom was wondering if you have a loaf pan?
